Berkshires

We collected two Berkshire piglets in early June and they were soon settled into their half of the field. Our new piglets are both girls and we quickly decided on the names Delia and Nigella, since they were more glamorous than our OSB´s!

Berkshires are a very different looking pig to Oxford Sandy and Blacks, and they seem to have quite a different personality too. Our new girls are highly excitable and extremely vocal. All of which makes feeding time hilarious. In fact they only stop grunting when they are eating and then they are equally noisy crunchy up their feed.
