Introduction to Folly Pigs

Folly Pigs is in Wiltshire and has been home to Margo, Jerry, Tom and Barbara since April 2008. They are Oxford Sandy and Black rare breed pigs, that were born in Jan 08.

Pigs in Action!

In June we added Delia and Nigella, rare breed Berkshires.

Throughout this site you can see lots of photos of all our pigs.

Each of the pigs has a different personality and they are great to watch, although they have the potential to be great time wasters! They are very food orientated, continually turning the ground over looking for grubs, and as they are still quite young they are also very playful, chasing each other and running around.

A favourite game on hot days involves being sprayed with a hose pipe – they seem to be in pig heaven.

Andy and Sarah Larkins own Folly Pigs. We decided about two years ago to try our hand at pig keeping, and it has taken a lot of work to get to this point. Many people have helped us – especially our families. The promise of sausages seems to always motivate.

Also Chris and Jan Joplin have been great pig mentors and we are greatful for all their support and encouragement.
